Special Events & Fundraising
The Seacoast Learning Center has served the greater seacoast area, which includes parts of New Hampshire, Maine, and Massachusetts, since 2004. Our center’s dual mission is to provide free remedial tutoring for children with dyslexia, and free training of teachers in the use of the Orton Gillingham individualized method of dyslexia remediation. The Seacoast Learning Center relies on fund raising, grants, and donations in addition to the financial support provided to us by the Scottish Rite Masons (Northern Masonic Jurisdiction) to fund the free services we offer. 2026 Jack Bradshaw Run2Read 5k Fundraiser
The Seacoast Learning Center will conduct our annual Jack Bradshaw 5k Run2Read road race fundraiser on May 17th, 2026 in Rochester, NH.
Details:
This is a USATF certified 5K road course; click the Event Course button. There is a digital clock at the finish line, water is provided at the halfway mark, and food and drink will be available at the finish line.
We are looking for people to run and/or walk in our fundraiser. Please share our Event Flyer, which contains complete information. You can Pre-register below, also via our Event Flyer. Check in begins at 8AM, the race starts at 9AM. The first 50 registrations receive a free t-shirt. Pre-Register: $35.00 / Register Day-Of: $40.00

Over The Edge – June 23, 2026
Would you rappel 24 stories because you believe in a cause? On June 23rd, 2026, many local non-profits are joining forces to go OVER THE EDGE in support of our community! In June, many individuals will be rappelling down the Brady Sullivan Tower at 1000 Elm Street in Manchester. These individuals are taking up this challenge because they believe in the strength of teamwork. Their supporters include friends, family, colleagues… even random strangers simply wanting to support their cause.

23rd Annual Golf Tournament – September 25th, 2026
The Seacoast Learning Center will hold our 23rd annual Golf Tournament fund raiser on September 25, 2026. The Rochester Country Club in Rochester, New Hampshire will host this year’s tournament.

Giving Tuesday 2026
A Night of Charity
The Tuesday after Thanksgiving Day is “Giving Tuesday” for many organizations. This event, and other donations, benefit our learning center for dyslexia in many ways.
Scottish Rite Masons everywhere donate a lot to support their multiple charitable endowments and programs. Among them is CDCInc.org and all learning centers for dyslexia. Some members direct their donations to a specific clinic, i.e., Seacoast Learning Center. Members can give at scottishritenmj.org/charities/a-night-of-charity.
And now, our supporters who are NOT Scottish Rite Masons will also be able to make Giving Tuesday donations to our program. Donations can be made online anytime at DonateRite.org or ChildrensDyslexiaCenter.org/Donate. Donations can also be called in during the Telethon, 800-814-1432.
