Directed Giving

Children’s Dyslexia Centers, Inc. is the headquarters for learning centers (such as ours) in 15 states. The HQ and centers are tax exempt as an IRS code 501(c)(3) charitable organization, EIN number 04-3169620.

Support of the Seacoast Learning Center in a way that makes the most sense for your finances—such as through tax-smart giving—can make an incredible impact without stretching your budget. Each and every gift helps children learn to overcome dyslexia, and our teachers to qualify in vital skills that carry over in their classrooms or clinics. Here are three powerful, tax-smart options:

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
A Donor Advised Fund allows you to simplify your giving while making a lasting impact. If you already have a DAF, you can recommend a grant directly to our managed investments.* This is an easy, flexible way to support our center.

Gifts of Appreciated Stock
Donating stock that has increased in value may be one of the most tax-efficient ways to give. By transferring appreciated securities directly to our managed investments,* you can avoid paying capital gains tax while also receiving a charitable deduction for the full market value of the stock. This method is a win-win for you and our center!

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs
For those 70½ years or older, your gift can come as a direct transfer from your IRA to our managed investments.* Known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution, this type of gift can count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD) but will not be included in your taxable income.

*CDC, Inc. manages the investments of each Center; the respective amounts vary. For how to donate, please visit scottishritenmj.org/charities/cornerstone-society and contact the person listed. Whatever method you choose, please be sure to specify Seacoast Learning Center as your recipient.
