Rebecca BealLevel 2 Dyslexia Practitioner/Supervisor

    Rebecca Beal has a background in Early Childhood Education and has worked with children all her life. She received her Bachelor’s of Science.in Early Childhood Education at University of New Hampshire and her Master’s in Education at the University of New England.  In 2013, she retired from 24 years of teaching second grade in a public school in Maine. She began her OG journey in 2017 and discovered that it is the most amazing professional development experience she has done in her long career.  Rebecca became a Level 1 tutor in 2018, a Level 2 tutor in 2019, and a supervisor in 2020 and is responsible for supporting and advising new trainees as they learn the OG Program, as well as tutoring.  She is now training to be an OG therapist. Although she no longer feels “retired”, she is having a great time helping children learn to read.  She loves spending time with her extended family, including 7 grandchildren who are the loves of her life.  She enjoys watching the birds at her birdfeeder, caring for her chickens, and snuggling with her dog, Abby, and her cat, Ethel.  She enjoys traveling, camping, reading, gardening, and swimming.  She has been a member of a Book Group for 45 years.
